About Us

Negative Space Studios was born back in August 2022 as a little passion project, born out of a love for capturing moments.
Mostly through photography: portraits, street shots, and whatever else happens to catch my eye.

This little corner of the internet is where the photos ended up.

We're not here trying to be the next big pretentious art collective or anything. We're just some folks (okay, mostly just me, Sean) who dig messing around with cameras, chasing light, and turning the everyday weird, wild, and wonderful into something you might wish to stare at for just a moment longer.

The name comes from a basic idea in art and photography. The subject does matter, of course; but sometimes the interesting part is everything around it. The quiet space. The overlooked detail. The strange little moment happening just outside the obvious.
That’s usually where we’re pointing the camera.

If you've wandered in here and stuck around to poke through the gallery or whatever else we've got floating around: thank you. Seriously, it means a lot.

We're still building things out (as always; prints are coming soon, I promise!), but the whole point is to share the stuff we make and hopefully spark a smile, a memory, or just a “huh, that's kinda cool” from you.

Negative Space Studios isn’t a massive production house or some “curated brand experience” nonsense (yeeuch!). It’s just a place where art gets made, shared, and occasionally escapes into the wild.

Some of it is serious. Some of it is strange. Some of it probably (definitely) happened by accident.
